Artist's Statement:

Often portraying aspects of Japanese culture, my artwork is consistent in my view of realized perfection. As many aspects of my culture stress the marriage of careful precision and beauty, my commitment to art is one of focus, ample time, and discipline. In taking my time I ensure each piece is perfect, and elegantly so. My artistic process demonstrates the concept of “kaizen” which simply translated means the perpetual quest for improvement, and the elimination of defects, in the ultimate pursuit for perfection. While my art rarely focuses on political or social issues, I like to believe it captures and portrays the values I hold dear. With significant Japanese ethnic background, I have always identified as part of the culture and have a great appreciation for its values and customs. Such aspects of Japanese culture serve to inspire my vision, and are willfully reflected in the end product of my meticulous hard work.
